TL;DR: ECU Tuning Portal (ecutuningportal.com) has been around since 2016 and leads on language support (24 languages) and payment gateway breadth (Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Iyzico, Wise, BTC). It’s cloud-hosted only, pricing is undisclosed, and there are no AI binary analysis features. TunerSuite Ultra wins on pricing transparency (£699 one-time or £50/mo managed), self-hosted option, AI ECU analyzer, and map comparison with stage detection. Pick ECU Tuning Portal if you need crypto payments or very wide language support; pick TunerSuite for everything else.
About ECU Tuning Portal
ECU Tuning Portal is a Turkish-founded platform, started in 2016, that has grown into one of the established vendors in the dealer portal space. Their sales page emphasizes integration with global payment gateways, 24-language support, and WinOLS integration for automated tuning delivery. The founder’s team publishes that their platform powers “tuning companies” at various sizes, with turnkey packages that bundle hosting, SSL, email, backups, and technical maintenance.
Their largest selling points are breadth: they support more payment gateways than most competitors (including Bitcoin), they ship with more translated languages, and they have almost a decade of iteration on top of the core portal model.
Where they fall short
Corrected 8 September 2026. This section previously said that pricing was not publicly listed and that there was no self-hosted deployment. Both were true when written and both are now false. Their own page publishes €39/month or €399/year, each with a €120 setup fee; €699 one-time for a lifetime licence with full source code ownership, self-hosted or cloud hosted, with branding removable; and €1,199 one-time with a landing page. That lifetime tier is the closest thing on this market to what we sell, and it deserves saying plainly rather than being left as an old note.
On the feature side, ECU Tuning Portal does not publicly advertise AI-based ECU binary analysis, heat-mapped visualizations, or automatic map comparison with stage detection. These are the capabilities that separate 2024+ portals from the earlier generation. If you want to visually understand what’s inside an ECU dump before you flash it, you need a platform that includes the analyzer — and ECU Tuning Portal doesn’t appear to.
TunerSuite’s position against ECU Tuning Portal
TunerSuite Ultra competes on three axes:
- Transparent pricing: £699 one-time for self-hosted or £50-120 per month for managed. Numbers on the sales page, no negotiation required.
- Self-hosted option: install on your own server with full deployment control — with vendor decrypt/encrypt connectors and AI File Match working out of the box.
- AI binary analysis: heat-mapped viewer, automatic VIN/HW/SW detection, 13 map categories, cell-by-cell map comparison, automatic stage detection. All built-in, no extra cost.
Where TunerSuite does not compete as well: language support (11 languages vs their 24) and payment gateway variety (Stripe + PayPal + Mercado Pago, no crypto). If those matter a lot for your business, ECU Tuning Portal has a genuine edge.

New in TunerSuite for 2026
Since this comparison was first written, TunerSuite has shipped a wave of capabilities that widen the gap with cloud-only portals — all included in the one-time licence, no add-ons:
- Vehicle Hub — type a UK number plate (or pick the car) and get a full spec sheet, the correct ECU with tool-compatibility, catalogue-verified power & torque gains with dyno curves, and a branded PDF quote in seconds.
- Live chat, Telegram & AI support — real-time chat on every file request (attach the tuned file and it is delivered as a versioned revision), a staff Telegram bot with number-plate lookup, and an optional AI support assistant grounded in your own knowledge base.
- Per-dealer master control — switch any feature (Dyno Studio, AI tools, hubs, even individual dashboard widgets) on or off per sub-dealer from the master, applied instantly, with four per-dealer billing modes. A slave portal has the same features as a standalone; who tunes is whatever master and dealer agree.
- Solo or team — run a clean, full-featured solo portal, then switch the technician system on when you hire.
- Any volume — no file caps in the software; the same platform serves a one-person shop or a large-scale operation processing thousands of files a day.
- Live in minutes — with managed hosting you set your domain and admin account at checkout, point one DNS record, and the portal is ready to roll within minutes.

Every figure below came off the company’s own public page on that date, and the two figures our April comparison carried without a source have been withdrawn rather than repeated. Prices in this market change quietly: one company on this list published no prices at all in April and now sells four tiers.
| Portal | How it is sold | Price as published | Runs on | Cost per file |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| TunerSuite Ultra | One-time licence | £699 setup, then £49.99 in months of ten files or more | Your own server, or managed hosting from £49.99 to £249 | £0 |
| ECU Tuning Portal | Subscription or lifetime | €39/month or €399/year, each plus €120 setup; €699 once for a lifetime licence with full source code; €1,199 once with a landing page | Self-hosted or their cloud | Not published |
| MyTuningPortal | Subscription, or a one-time package | €250 setup plus €50/month, or €1,300 once — offered at €1,100 with a domain and a year of hosting | Their hosting only; self-hosting is stated as not possible | Not published |
| TuningFile | Subscription plus per file | €10, €30 or €60 per month, plus €2 to €3 for every completed file, plus around 10% commission on e-commerce sales | Their cloud | €2 to €3 |
| ChiptuningPortal | Subscription only | €49/month, €289 for six months or €488/year, each plus €10 setup | Their cloud; self-hosting declined | Not published |
| FileService Portal | Per file | €3.5 to €5 per file by package; automated solutions €20 to €30; white-label from €20 for deletes to €50 for stages | Not addressed on the page | €3.5 to €5 |
| Performance Portals · C4L1BRATE · AM3 Portal · Bensky | Subscription | No price published on a public page | Their hosting | Not published |
Two things we got wrong in April, corrected
Our earlier comparison said of ECU Tuning Portal that “pricing is not publicly listed” and that “there is also no self-hosted deployment”. Both were accurate when written and both are now false: they publish four tiers, and one of them is a lifetime licence with full source code that you may host yourself. That matters enough to say plainly, because it is the closest thing on this list to what we sell.
We also carried about £59 a month for FileService Portal and about £250 a month for AM3 Portal. Neither could be re-read on the companies’ own pages on 8 September 2026 — FileService Portal now publishes per-file pricing and AM3’s product page did not answer — so both figures are withdrawn rather than repeated from an old note.
Where the real difference sits now
“Own it instead of renting it” was the whole argument a year ago and it no longer separates the field on its own, because you can now buy source code outright elsewhere for a comparable figure. Three differences do separate it, and they are worth checking on any shortlist, ours included.
1. Who opens the locked file
A slave file from a vendor tool has to be decrypted before anybody can touch it, and re-encrypted before the customer can flash it. Of the portals above, only one other names the vendor tools at all — and it is a per-file service rather than software you run. Everywhere else, that step happens outside the portal: you open the file somewhere else, tune it, wrap it again, and upload the result.
TunerSuite does it inside the portal, for AutoTuner, Alientech KESS3, KESSv2 and K-TAG, bFlash, MagicMotorsport MMS Flex and the Alientech IXI bridge, against your own master accounts. A plain bench or boot read needs no decryption at all and goes straight back as a flashable file. Ask any vendor on a shortlist which of these they open natively; the answer is short.
2. What a file costs after the first one
A monthly figure is easy to compare and it is not where the money goes. Two of the portals above charge per completed file on top of the subscription, and one adds a commission on anything you sell. Multiply the per-file line by the files you actually deliver in a busy month and it can outweigh the subscription several times over — none of which appears in the headline price.
Our per-file cost is £0, and the vendor decrypt behind it is paid once for any given file rather than once per customer who sends it. That is the number worth putting in a spreadsheet before signing anything, including with us.
3. Automation is now table stakes — matching is not
Nearly every portal on this list now advertises a WinOLS bot of some kind, and that is a fair thing for them to have built. It is no longer a reason to choose one over another.
What is still rare is the portal knowing that you have already done this file — matching a new upload against your own delivered work, through a different tool and a different encrypted wrapper, and refusing to deliver when the ordered modifications do not match exactly. On a real workshop archive of 167 delivered jobs, one arriving job in six had already been finished by that same shop.
Where we are behind, since you will find it anyway
ECU Tuning Portal advertises 24 interface languages against our 11, and a 66,000+ vehicle database — worth understanding rather than arguing with. If you want source code you can read and change, they sell that and we do not: our source ships protected, so what you own with us is the install, the database and the customers, plus every update for the life of the licence.
Any comparison that finds nothing good to say about the alternatives is a sales page, not a comparison. Check the figures above against the companies’ own pages before you decide — they are all public, and they all move.
