What is a checksum?

What is CVN and do I need it?

CVN (Calibration Verification Number) is used by BMW and VAG dealership diagnostic tools to verify the ECU calibration matches the factory original. If you want your modifications to be invisible to dealer diagnostics, you need CVN correction.
